Hi Lovelies,
I stopped writing for eight months. TL;DR: I started a new job that broke me to pieces. I couldn't find the passion to write when I barely recognized myself anymore. The good news is that this email means I'm finding my way back. Not completely. Not perfectly. But I'm writing again, and that feels really good.
Going back to writing also means remembering why I started in the first place: writing has always been my escape from reality. A place where I can disappear for a while, dream a little bigger, and create worlds that feel like mine. And I don't want to tell the same stories you've already read a dozen times. I want to write stories that feel personal, messy, romantic, strange, and a little bit like stepping into someone else's daydream.
The last eight months gave me plenty of material. I fell in love (twice, actually). Lost friends and made new ones. Learned things about myself I probably wouldn't have learned otherwise. They're all magical odysseys in their own way, and those experiences will find their way into the stories I write next.
With that said, the Kickstarter for my next book We Met in Yggdrasil is officially set to launch next week! Follow the project to get notified when it is live. The hardcover is so beautiful and there is A LOT of art. Trust. 😉
And I'm so grateful you're still here. Every time I thought about giving up, I remembered that there are people out there reading my stories, waiting for the next one, and letting me share these little worlds with them. That means more to me than I can put into words. So, thank you for sticking around while I found my way back.
I'm ready to start writing again.
Love,
Stefanie
PROJECT RECOMMENDATIONS
The magic continues with Wayward Mage, a deluxe special edition hardcover for fans of dangerous relics, forbidden magic, and women who refuse to stay powerless. They sent Kadaris into the wilds with an impossible task and no expectation she would return. Something ancient is stirring in Shadar Wold, and the mage they meant to dispose of may be the only one willing to face it.
A demon set Claire's house on fire-and that's just the start. Hunted by cultists, monsters, and eldritch gods, can she master reality-bending magic in time to stop a multiversal apocalypse in this action-packed supernatural fantasy trilogy?
