The Next Steps

Dear Lovelies,
This week, a close family friend passed away unexpectedly. She was someone I admired deeply and someone I saw a lot of myself in. She was a hard worker, the kind who gave everything she had because she wanted to, not because people forced her to. Over time, that pace took a serious toll on her health. And at her end, she was found still working.
When the news reached me, I was sitting at my own desk, already fighting back tears from burnout. It forced me to stop and really ask myself what kind of lifestyle I am building, and at what cost.
Because of that, I want to share, somewhat reluctantly, that I’m postponing the launch of We Met in Yggdrasil again. I’ve been collaborating with several wonderful people to make this campaign happen, but the truth is I don’t have the capacity right now to give this story the care and presence it deserves.
“Overworked” does not fully capture what I have been feeling. Losing a friend was a wake-up call. I can’t keep pushing at this pace and pretend it’s okay. This feels like a moment to recalibrate, to ask what would actually make life more manageable. For me, that means letting the Kickstarter wait until it’s truly ready, and until I am too.

I’m still working on Yggdrasil every week, just more slowly. I hope you understand, and I’m grateful for your patience and continued support more than I can say.
Sincerely,
Stefanie
P.S. Rooting for my city. Go Hawks!
