people are so different...you probably know it...
some of them are kinder than the others...
some of them are funnier that the others...
some of them are more talented than the others...
How to retain them?

The perfect recipe:
As a People Manager, there are many things that are certainly within your own control, and steps that you can take to ensure you are a good People Manager.
Let's look at some effective ways to RETAIN the best talents.
Time, focus, and energy
Think about those hours spent sifting through resumes, conducting interviews, and then orienting and training a new hire?
Doesnโt it make more sense to invest the same amount of time and effort working to retain current valued team members?
- keep close to these valued employees: regular check-ins, one to oneโs, and informal discussions
- tell them that you appreciate them and value their contribution and are interested in hearing their views and concerns
- make them feel important and confident that they have your trust, support, and sponsorship
Pay attention to red flags!
There are a bunch of advance triggers that People Managers need to be aware of as possible preliminary signals or drivers that could result in someone in the team thinking of leaving.
These include:
- Company changes
- Confusion and uncertainty expressed regarding future career options.
- Conflicts in relationships with managers, team leaders, and colleagues.
- A sudden downward trend in interaction with colleagues and communications with you, their People Manager.
Employees are first of all people.
We need to remember that!
Every People Manager should become a Talent Manager and a guide.
Provide insight into both formal and informal ways to get things done, provide off-line confidential support to the individual,and help to remove road-blocks to their progress.
In general, we can summarize it as:
Look to grow and develop employees for the future and they will most often choose to grow with you and your organization.
