Last week I read something profoundly useful. It was about how we often wait for permission - to be a certain way or to do what our soul longs for, to take action, to speak up... And we don't even realise this is what's keeping us stuck. A hidden, deep down 'rule' almost, engrained since childhood that we simply cannot before we get permission. The gist of this is, in a nutshell: how about consciously now allowing yourself that permission. You giving permission to yourself. Apparently it's most effective when you write it down: "I give myself permission to..." and fill in the sentence. Then write the same again, with another permission granted. Then another. What would you do, or be, if you gave yourself the permission to? Feel the shift in your body - how does it feel when you give yourself the permission you didn't even know you were waiting for? "I give myself permission to..." Try it ~ this may just transform your year from this moment onwards!
