Yesterday inside the church, I was in the studio when one of the deacons was showing me and others his family photos – it was beautiful. Looking at those photos, I reassert my decision never to have a child that I did not plan for.
I want to give my kids the kind of childhood that I never had and shape their future through it. I never had a photo of when I was young. I took my first photo when I turned 17 and lost the photo before I left the village. No family photos because there was no nuclear family! The lack of good memories is not pleasant!
It was the decision not to have a kind that I am not prepared to have that forced me to discover and provide the right sex education for the world. My rough and broken upbringing was due to my parents’ lack of proper sex education. They did not prepare to have me, so I was only going to make do with whatever I saw.
It is safe to say that I was born by mistake and it cost me a lot of privileges! I have to be moved from one family member to another. I could not lay claim to anything because these folks don't owe me; they are just nice extended family members trying to help their sibling take care of her child. It is hard going through that.
There was no father; my mum was not around too. No photos, no birthday celebrations because there was no one to remember it. I was a product of the consequences of their lack of proper sex education. This is why I am very passionate about sex education for female adolescents.
It gives me joy to protect the lives and future of kids that are yet to come by providing proper sex education to teenagers and adolescents. I believe that if my parents had the right sex education, they would have avoided having me when they aren't prepared, so I try to prevent other kids from telling this type of story too.
Lack of proper sex education is ruining our world but people do not seem to suspect it is the culprit. Children and adolescents are struggling and messing through life because they lack a proper sex education without traditional and religious conspiracies.
Most members of Boko Haram, Bandits & Kidnappers are products of unprepared birth due to lack of proper sex education. They grew up in hard ways without parental support. They need to survive. I could have been one of them. I am just chosen by God to be different.
We can prevent more kids from such if we provide sex education to adolescents now. They need to know that they are doing the world damage when they give birth to kids that they are not prepared to take care of. This can be prevented with proper sex education.
I hope to educate as many as I can through my books, namely, THE SEXUALLY SMART BOY & THE SEXUALLY SMART GIRL for male and female adolescents respectively but too many of them do not have the money to buy it even if they want it.
I am now appealing to you to support me to print more copies and share with some of the adolescents that I can reach. A copy costs N1000 and I wish to print 2000 copies. All the copies can be shared with kids on my street only and it will not be enough but we would have at least help.
