There was a 35 years old beautiful woman who lost her virginity at 31 & has been struggling to get married since then. She believed that being a virgin will get her the right man, so she refused to have sex until she was sure they will marry her.
As she grew older, her virginity lost its worth, and she eventually lost it to a random man after a Doctor advised her to do it due to her health concerns. By the time I met her, she was reluctantly willing to have sex to make a relationship lead to marriage, but because of her age, many men that she met felt she was desperate for marriage and kept dumping her after sex.
Her mistake was that she held onto her virginity, wishing to get married to the right man before letting go until sex became a useless tool in getting a man to marry her. Her virginity could have gotten her married if she let it go around age 25 or so, but the more she held on to it, the more it loses its worth.
She still walks around wondering why she cannot get married. Now, she has to give much more than just sex, and more than double of other things she would have given to get a better result with men when she was much younger.
That is how life is; if you keep hold of the things that you have, you'd never get what you want. Achieving success in anything at all is about letting go of what you have to get what you want.
A lot of people are trying to hold on so tightly to something that they have and hoping to get what they want. They feel life is unfair to them when they cannot get what they want when in reality, they are the ones trying to cheat life.
People who hold on to what they have and hope to get what they want don't understand life. You have to lose what you have if you want to get what you want. Not just anything, but something very special to you.
Before you hold onto what you have, ask yourself if it is worth it to hold on to it and never get what you want because as long as you hold on to it, you will never get what you want. If it is enough to keep your life going, then hold on to it.
A farmer has to lose his seed to have a harvest & not only that, he has to prune & weed it. A seed has to fall to the ground and die before it can bring harvests. If a farmer holds onto his seeds for a longer time than necessary, they will perish in his storehouse & become useless. He must sow it in the sowing season if he wants to make a gain.
This suggests that if you hold on too much to what you have, you may eventually let it go and gain nothing from it. Just like the woman mentioned before, virginity is only valuable between the ages of 16 & 29, from 30 upwards, it loses its value. No amount of so-called spirituality will change this fact.
That is how life works; if you keep hold of what you have & wish to get what you want, you will only wish, and worse still, you will eventually lose what you have & still not get what you want.
To get, you have to give!
