I wanted to give a quick update on my birthday fundraiser. I raised 50% of the $500, which is pretty good for a last-minute effort. Fundraising on my birthday is a way for me to show gratitude for how blessed I am to have such a wonderful support system for hot moments.
Each year, I have wonderful ideas (in my head) about starting earlier or doing some events; however, I don't let reality and my grand ideas stop me from thinking of others, and I'm so happy to have raised $250. This will pay for about 9 support sessions (at no cost to the texter), which is amazing.
My birthday was filled with carrot cake 🥕🎂, learning the Boots on the Ground line dance, and skin gadgets for a woman of a particular age. Mostly, I giggled with my family and hung out with my granddaughter (at my home) while "talking to my other grandbaby (Baby Meadow) on FaceTime.
I also went to a Moo Moo and Margarita birthday party (my BFF threw herself an awesome party). My friend sent the pets and the hubby to the kennel for the night 😝. Well, hubby's kennel was a hotel up the street. I would imagine there were no complaints from him!
Today is the official last day of my birthday fundraiser, but I imagine the link should still be accessible if you want to give in the future. And it's not too late to give today (but no pressure!)
