Hi ,

I was talking to a consultant who felt constantly frustrated with his clients.

They missed deadlines.

They ignored advice.

They asked for more than they paid for.

He told me he had a client problem.

So I asked him to describe his boundaries.

Not the ones he believed in.

The ones he actually enforced.

That is when the truth showed up.

There were no real boundaries.

Only preferences he hoped people would respect.

He responded instantly to every message.

He allowed scope to expand quietly.

He avoided uncomfortable conversations.

And then he blamed clients for taking what he never clearly protected.

Here is the hard truth.

Clients rarely cross boundaries you actually hold.

They cross the ones you leave open.

The issue was not the clients.

The issue was the absence of standards.

Once he defined what was included and what was not, everything changed.

Expectations became clear.

Communication improved.

Respect increased.

Not because clients became different people.

But because the frame finally did.

Boundaries are not rigidity.

Boundaries are clarity.

And clarity is one of the most valuable services you can provide.

If you want to explore this idea, notice where you feel resentment in your work.

Resentment usually points to a boundary you have not named yet.

Relentlessly dedicated to your profitability,
