🟩 The business lesson I learned in the dark

Aug 15, 2025 7:44 pm

Hi ,

Imagine you are driving down a narrow mountain road in the dark.

Your headlights cut through the night, but you can only see a short stretch ahead.

Beyond that, nothing but blackness.

The road twists and turns without warning.

One moment it is a gentle curve, the next it is a sharp bend that comes out of nowhere.

If you drift too far to the side, there is no shoulder. Just a drop into the void.

You grip the wheel a little tighter.

Your eyes stay locked on what is directly ahead because you know looking too far into the distance will only distract you.

That is what entrepreneurship feels like when you are in the thick of it.

You cannot see the entire path.

You cannot predict every turn.

The terrain is constantly changing and you have to adapt in real time.

Most people get spooked by the uncertainty.

They want bright daylight before they even start the drive.

They want to see the entire route before they commit.

But daylight does not come.

The entrepreneurs who make it are not the ones who wait for perfect visibility.

They are the ones who learn to drive in the dark.

They make peace with the uncertainty.

They keep moving forward even when they cannot see beyond the next bend.

And when they finally reach the top, they look back and realize that it was not about having the clearest road.

It was about becoming skilled at navigating the winding one.
