I said yes before I was ready

Hi ,

Last week, I spent hours in front of a microphone recording the audiobook version of my book, Simplify.

It was exciting, but also surreal.

Because somewhere in the middle of reading my own words out loud, I was hit with a powerful memory—how this book even came to be in the first place.

I was on a call with my mentor, Michael Gerber. If you’ve read The E-Myth, you know how deeply he thinks about business.

No conversation with him is a light one.

At the time, I had been thinking a lot about how driven entrepreneurs—smart, ambitious people—often get in their own way. They make things more complicated than they need to be.

Complexity slows them down, drains their motivation, and keeps them from building the business they’re capable of.

So, when Michael asked me what had been on my mind lately, that’s what I told him.

He listened. Then, after a pause, he said:

“Kayvon, it is time for you to write your book.”

Me? Little old me?

I felt a mix of fear, excitement, and straight-up intimidation.

But when your mentor asks you to do something, you say yes.

That’s when I knew Simplify had to be different.

I didn’t want to write another generic business book filled with theories that sound good but don’t actually help entrepreneurs move forward.

I wanted to create something real—something that actually helped people simplify their businesses and get out of their own way.

A book that makes things clearer, not more complicated.

And now, I found myself recording the words that almost never made it onto a page.

So, if you’re sitting on an idea, a project, or a vision you’ve been putting off, consider this your sign.

It’s time.

If you want to be the first to know when Simplify - Extreme Effectiveness for Entrepreneurs—the book and audiobook—are published, just reply with the words "Simplify book", and I’ll make sure you get the announcement.
