I grew up in a Cuban household.
My family always showed me love through food.
Every Sunday I would eat Ropa Vieja and Arroz con Leche with my family.
Food made me feel at home, safe, and loved.
Later on my early teens, I started to put on a little weight.
In an attempt to lose it, I tried countless diets.
Not only did these diets fail because I was starving myself…
But they also didn’t deal with the main issue:
I associated food with love, safety, and connection!
So every time I tried to cut off foods I liked…
I felt like that feeling of love and safety was cut off too.
I felt anxious, alienated, and uncomfortable.
This is an example of how our past stories stop us.
I call these stories “glass ceilings”...
Because they prevent us from getting our desired health results.
Now, these glass ceilings CAN be shattered.
If you let go of your past stories’ power over you…
Then you can achieve your body goals…
While fulfilling your human needs in other ways.
In my case, I now fulfill my needs for love by calling my parents...
And my safety needs by meditating, working out, or talking to my partner.
And since I know how macros work…
I sometimes still have Ropa Vieja with my family.
In SHIFT, you will let go of past stories holding you back from achieving your ideal body…
And you’ll develop other ways to fulfill your needs…
So you don’t rely on food to do the heavy lifting.
And, of course, you’ll also know how macros work.
Which means you’ll responsibly enjoy those familiar foods often!
Now, if you’re ready…
🏆 Let go of stories holding you back and achieve your ideal body.
