Refuel: Time for Your Weekly Pitstop šŸ”„

Because running on empty was never the plan

image

Hi ,

Welcome back to Refuel šŸ”„ your weekly space to pause, reset, and reconnect with your body, your energy, and what matters most.

Because running on empty was never the plan.

There’s a real shift in the air this week.

Lighter mornings.

A little more energy.

And that sense that things are starting to move again.

For me, it’s also been a big one…

Presenting SomalatesĀ® at IFS (The International Fitness Showcase) in Blackpool.

Standing in that space, sharing this work, seeing people feel the difference in their bodies, it was one of those moments where everything just clicked.

And it’s made one thing very clear…

This work is ready to grow.

I’ll be launching regular SomalatesĀ® classes soon, both a daytime and an evening option.

Right now, I’m just securing the right venue (it has to feel right… you know me 😊), but we’re very close.

If you’ve been curious about SomalatesĀ®, this is your moment.

More details coming very soon.

šŸ”„ THIS WEEK’S FOCUS: WHEN YOU’RE IN SURVIVAL MODE

We’ve gone viral!

My post this week really seemed to land with so many of you over on Facebook.

Because let’s be honest, a lot of women are still operating in survival mode without even realising it.

It can look like:

• Pushing through exhaustion

• Snapping over small things

• Feeling wired but tired

• Struggling to switch off

• Doing everything for everyone else first

And then wondering why your body feels tense, heavy, or disconnected.

This isn’t a mindset problem.

It’s a nervous system response.

And the solution isn’t to push harder…

It’s to come back to safety in the body.

⚔ MINI SOMALATESĀ® PRACTICE (2 MINUTES)

The Spinal Wave Flow

If you try one thing this week, let it be this:

• Sit or stand comfortably

• Begin to gently rock your pelvis forward and back

• Let the movement travel up through your spine

• Chest softens, then gently lifts

• Keep it slow, fluid, and easy

• Breathe naturally as you move

Think of it as creating a soft wave through the body.

This helps:

• release spinal tension

• improve mobility

• regulate the nervous system

• reconnect you to your body

No forcing. No perfect form.

Just movement that feels good.

🌸 SPRING RESET: 3 SIMPLE WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR WELLBEING

Now we’re moving into spring, your body naturally wants a reset, but not in a harsh ā€œstart againā€ way.

Think gentle shifts:

1ļøāƒ£ Get outside early in the day

Natural light helps regulate your body clock, energy, and mood.

2ļøāƒ£ Add movement, not intensity

Walk more. Stretch more. Breathe more.

Let movement feel supportive, not punishing.

3ļøāƒ£ Eat to feel energised

Think protein, colour, hydration — simple, steady nourishment.

Spring isn’t about doing more.

It’s about feeling better.

šŸ“– FROM THE BLOG

New posts are continuing over on the blog, covering things like:

No overwhelm. Just helpful insights.

šŸ’œ A NOTE FROM ME

IFS reminded me of something important.

When you stop forcing, and start listening... everything changes.

In your body.

In your energy.

In how you move through life.

So if things have felt heavy, stuck, or a bit disconnected lately…

You don’t need to overhaul everything.

You just need to pause and be there for yourself.

Tip of the Week:

If your body feels overwhelmed, don’t add more.

Change the way you’re doing things.

Love + wellness,
