Happy Valentine’s Day! 💘

Do you have any fun plans for the holiday tomorrow? My husband and I will be attending a basketball game (our usual date night thing since we have season tickets), but we haven't decided if we're going out afterward or not. Drinks, maybe? A movie? I honestly don't even know what movies are playing right now, so if you have any recommendations, send them my way!

To celebrate Valentine's Day, I have a little art reveal for you! I had this piece commissioned from Just Duart for Fated Late, and it felt like perfect timing to show it to you now.

This is from their “fuck it” scene, when they throw real life out the window for one night to conceive their pups. They let themselves have the fantasy of being together, even though a lot of circumstances are keeping them apart at this point.

Fated Late is a fated mates story, but it’s a little different than any I’ve written before. Julia is in her forties, deep in the unfamiliar terrain of perimenopause (hi, so am I), and very much not starting from a clean slate. Ian is absolutely obsessed with her in a way that complicates everything…because even though she’s married, Julia hasn’t felt wanted in a long time.

There’s a surrogacy arrangement. There are pregnancy cravings Ian takes very seriously. There is, unfortunately, a human husband who sucks.

It’s messy on the surface, but at its core, it’s a story about your life taking a big turn when you’d already settled for a less-than-perfect path.
