I’m sharing this to spread the word about Ami’s heartbreaking loss of her Patreon community that she has spent years building, but also as a reminder that our author platforms can disappear any time.

We live at their whims, and we often do not have any ability to appeal the decision. I lost my 6k+ Tiktok account in 2024 with no warning or reason given, and only a fraction of my followers there found me again. Another author friend, Harpie Alexa, lost her entire Amazon account for confusing and unclear reasons, which was even more devastating.
