Hi !
Thank you so much for all your support of The Gargoyle & the Maiden launch last week. I have been overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the kind reviews and private comments about the story. I’m really glad Brandt and Idabel’s dark, tender, complicated love story has touched people so deeply.
I wanted to highlight a few of the five-star reviews that made me especially emotional (and then I’ll tell you why)!
“I’ve never hurt so good before.”
“…it’s fair to say it’s one of my favorites by Sara”
Why I love these: I try to make every book I write someone’s favorite. That’s my core author goal, to write your favorite book. Like…I can quit now if one person loves it that much. (I’m not going to quit, though, don't worry.)
“I'm obsessed with this book and characters. I tried to find any moment I could to read during the day because I needed to know what was going to happen next. It's deliciously full of angst, drama, betrayal, and miscommunication. But in between these tougher scenes, Sara gives us many heart warming and sweet moments. I found myself crying on several occasions.”
“Omg, this book was so freaking good! It was angsty, and moody, and I cried more than once. And all of that angst was worth if for an HEA that made my heart feel so full.”
Why I love these: It brings me joy to cause you pain and then heal you by the end of the book. Sorry, not sorry. Okay, maybe a little bit sorry, but also absolutely gleeful. If you cried over this book, know that every tear you shed, happy or sad, is worth a million pearls to me!
If you’ve read, reviewed, or commented about this book, I appreciate you so much! And I’m already at work on the next in the series, The Gargoyle & the Lady, so you will get to see certain side characters find their HEA, too. (Stay tuned next week for a cover reveal!)
And if you haven’t read The Gargoyle & the Maiden yet? I’ll just drop this one final review…
“I am reeling in the best ways oh my god. This was absolutely worth waiting for. So many things happen in 37 chapters and I just don't even know where to begin. Yes, I do. Read it. That's where we begin!”
(it’s free to borrow in Kindle Unlimited)
DID YOU KNOW IT HAS A PLAYLIST!
Sweetpoison put together an incredible Spotify playlist for The Gargoyle & the Maiden that captures the vibes and story so well. If you like an immersive reading experience, I highly recommend listening to it while you read. I will definitely be soaking it up while I write the next books in the Nightfall Guardians series.
