Pretty Pictures and an ARC sigunup!

Hi Howdy Word Lovers,
Welcome back to another exciting newsletter from yours truly. You know, the one you totally signed up for and are thrilled to open every time it shows up in your inbox, which is currently on the monthly regular, thank you very much!
Curiouser and curiouser - The hot topic over on my Instagram page this week is whether readers read prologues! Personally, I consider a prologue as a place to get insight that sets me up for the story, but rumor has it there are people who don't read prologues...or epilogues! I know, mind blown, right? So, be sure to let me know if you're a reader of the beginnings and endings of books because my upcoming release has a prologue that even the person I know who is most likely to skip a prologue admitted is critical to the story ;) (Love ya, Amber ;))
The past month was a busy one that included an amazing visit from my brother and sister-in-law. It was so much fun to drag them around to some of my favorite haunts and to show them the town where I used to live.
Forgive the wild hair. It was super windy on the day we went to Cheb, but here's a fun picture of me with my bro and his wife. Yes, I'm a LOT younger than he is ;) That being said, after they visited us they went and biked around Italy, so...
Note: Cheb is featured in the final book of the Darkening Dragons series (Bohemian Dragon Awakening), so I just had to take Baby Lasia there to see the sights.
Baby Lasia considering how a full-size dragon could fit down this itty bitty street!
Baby Lasia planning how she will take over Cheb castle. She's also wondering what happened to all the buildings inside. It's been a few hundred years since she was last here...
And now for that ARC news you were all waiting for! I'm soooo close to finishing up the formatting. Some of my One Must Die crew convinced me that, rather than just including a hypothetical cryptogram in the story that you would all be amazed by its descriptive majesty in word form, I should actually try to include parts of it. This led to me spending an hour in a cafe trying to figure out exactly how to create my own cryptogram that you could see bits and pieces of. I'm still working on trying to draw out some sections, but, as previously noted, I'm more of a stick figure kinda girl than a skilled artist (all the pretty pictures in this series are done by Candice Pedraza Yamnitz who actually is incredible!). But I'm planning to have ARCs ready to send out early next week, which will give readers more than a month to read this novella before release day at the end of May. So, if that sounds like it might be your idea of a fun few hours, be sure to click the link:

Always lovely to chat with you all,

This month I have the privilege of introducing you to a new to me author:
AMY WALSH:
BOOK TITLE: A Cursed Enchantment
BIO: Amelia Lynn writes fantasies, adventures, and suspense for ages ten to 100. She is the creator of the Dolls of Mahogany Manor fantasy series. In other genre realms, Amelia Lynn is known as Amy Lynn Walsh, a 5th-grade school teacher, mother of three wonderfully quirky kids, and wife to the fabulous Pat Walsh.
SHORT PITCH: They aren’t wanted by their creator, and if they are discovered in this land where magic has been outlawed, they will be destroyed.
BOOK BLURB: In a land where magic is forbidden, a miniature family awakens on top of an enormous table. They see their mansion in the distance, sitting on the floor of a giant room. Before long, the Dolls of Mahogany Manor realize that they have been abandoned by the sorcerer who created them, and if humans discover them, they will be destroyed. If they work together, can this tiny family survive in a world full of danger and solve the mystery of their existence?
