Greetings and Salutations Gentle Word Lovers,

Can you believe I'm back in your inbox so soon? Well, neither can I, and yet here I am doing it. I do apologize for the proximity of these missives, but it's really only because the last one was so dreadfully late. The goal is to keep things monthly, which will hopefully be manageable.

This should all be fairly quick, but be sure to stick around to the end for information on the new series coming up and your chance to be part of my shiny new launch team :)

February was a very busy month for me on the editing front, but thanks to the beauty of audiobooks, I managed to read a good number of books, including the beauty pictured below. It was the first time I've ever listened to someone else reading my writing, and it was so much fun. It also was a chance to get back with the characters in this story for fresh inspiration.

There hasn't been much time for exploring since my last note to you all, but the family did enjoy a nice clamber through this crookedy cemetery. Whatever possessed them to use this steep hill to intern the dead, I will never know, but it was certainly a unique and slippery place to explore. This is quite an ancient Jewish cemetery in the tiny town of Chodova Plana, about a ten minute drive from where I live. Unfortunately, since all the tombstones were carved in Hebrew, I can't even tell you the dates, but it was fascinating to visit.

And now for the promised series info! If you follow me on Instagram (@transientdrifter) you might already know that my little writing group has decided to expand our series past One Must Die. The series will be called:

Games of Greed and Ruin

And it will include novellas about all of the surviving characters in the interim between One Must Die and the next round of games they've been mysteriously invited to attend for a second round.

I think I've hinted a bit toward it here, and if you haven't had a chance to read OMD yet you might want to close your eyes and sing really loudly until we get to the next segment because knowing what characters are going to be in this book is kind of spoilery. But if you're already in the know, keep reading, and if you're not, what are you doing still reading this instead of rushing out for your copy of One Must Die?

Today I'll be announcing the hint for the title of the novella I've written, which follows the story Zenith and Jessie. I'll be announcing the title officially on Monday, and the cover will be revealed on the 21st. Just seeing the below graphic will give you a head start on guessing the next title, so if you want to look really smart when you go to make your guesses, squint really hard at this picture. Anyone interested in helping me share the cover reveal next Friday, please reply to this email and I'll send you some graphics you can share!

I'm still trying to decide if I'll splurge and get the pretty printed edges on my story. It's a bit of an investment, so please feel free to weigh in if having the pretty edges is enough of an incentive for you to order a paperback or not. Enquiring minds really want to know!
