Dear ,
Have you ever been reading/watching/listening to something and a connection just jumps out at you?
I was reading on living life boldly and came across Sir Ranulph Fiennes and I simply loved his spirit. Like me, Ranulph Fiennes had a fear of heights. What did he do? He climbed Mt Everest in an effort to overcome his fear. Like, really Sir! Isn’t that a bit extreme? And guess how old he was at the time?
What is your major fear? Is there anything that you can do to get over it ? It doesn’t have to be as extreme as climbing Mt Everest. But on the other hand – what is your Mt Everest. You can overcome your fear at any age. It doesn’t matter how long you have been suffering.
Let’s look at some of your fears:
Height
Closed spaces
Spiders, lizards and other creepy crawlies
Relationships
Being alone
Sex.
How long have you been afraid? How has this fear impacted your quality of life?
One simple way to begin conquering your fear is to change the way that you look at it, to become curious and to change the words you use to describe the emotions surrounding it. Suppose that instead of saying. “I’m afraid of heights.” You said, “ Wow! That’s high. I wonder how it feels to be up there?”
Or, “Ok Mr. Spider, that web is truly beautiful. How do you manage to weave something of such complexity?”
Or, instead of mourning being alone, you said, “I am choosing to use this time to get to know myself better. I am falling in love with me.”
Try it and let me know how changing your words makes you feel
…And by the way, Ranulph Fiennes was 60 when he first attempted to climb Mt Everest. It’s never too late .
Holding you safe

The connection… many of us begin our greatest adventures in our latter years. We make a choice daily as to whether we live our lives boldly or we choose to remain small, unknown and afraid. Can you CHOOSE to do one bold, scary thing today?
