All That Remains is now available to buy in stores either as an e-book or a paperback.
If you received an Advance Review Copy, now is the time to head over to your favourite store and leave a review. Reviews are incredibly important - not only do they help readers like you and me find our next book, but they also help with visibility and marketing. Some promotion sites will only accept books with a certain number of reviews, and Amazon, in particular, rewards titles with positive reviews by giving them greater exposure, especially during the first weeks after release.

As well as promoting All That Remains, I've been working hard on the new novel (which doesn't have a title yet - I'm terrible at titles). I've more or less completed character sheets for the four main characters and I've done a rough outline to get me started.
I always draft an outline and then generally ignore it completely after the first couple of chapters, when the characters begin to take over their own stories. But I need it to get me started, and those notes do tend to form the basis for whatever story emerges.
The first draft is my favourite part of writing. I love sitting down to the computer each day and discovering the next part of the story. Even when I know beforehand what needs to happen in a scene, there are always elements that surprise me - thoughts in a character's head I hadn't suspected, or a door hinge that needs oiling. And sometimes, something completely unexpected happens - a neighbour barging their way into the story, or a piece of news that makes the narrative suddenly pivot.
So that's keeping me busy.

What I'm reading: I am You by Victoria Redel - a fascinating imagining of the life of Maria Van Oosterwijk, the 17thCentury Dutch painter. Compelling.
What I'm watching: I watched Practical Magic for the very first time at the weekend - what a charming and entertaining film it is! Can't believe it's taken me so long to get to it.
