Happy March!
The spring equinox has passed, which means longer, sunnier days in the northern hemisphere!
And with spring comes exciting book news!
If you haven’t heard yet, I have a new series in the works: Inglorious Scoundrels. Book 1 is already on sale and available in Kindle Unlimited—so if you haven’t dived in yet, now’s the time!
Book 2 is right around the corner, and today is the cover reveal!
Take a peek below and let me know your first impressions—I’d love to hear what you think! ❤️
Jacob Caldwell is many things—a botanist, an entomologist, an industrialist, and, if he’s being honest, a complete disaster of a guardian. He barely remembers to eat, let alone raise the three children suddenly thrust into his care. What he needs is a housekeeper who is competent, invisible, and entirely uninteresting.
Honoria Hartwell is none of those things. What she is, however, is a liar. Hiding in plain sight as a housekeeper is the safest way to escape her horrid past. But when the lure of her old life proves too irresistible, she takes one reckless risk and... finds herself in the arms of her employer.
Now, Honoria is trapped between two lives and drowning in a web of lies. When her past finally catches up with her, will the man she has started to love come to her rescue or abandon her to her fate?
Have you read Book 1 in this series yet? No? Now’s the perfect time! It’s available for FREE on Kindle Unlimited, so you can dive into the world of Inglorious Scoundrels right away.
Lady Lydia Lawless is a thief. Her family fortune? A lie. To start a new, honest life, she needs to steal one last thing—a family heirloom from a charming viscount.
There’s just one problem.
The viscount is a man from her past. And to steal the jewel… she’ll have to get him naked.
Viscount Arthur Thornton has many regrets. Letting go of his first love is the greatest. Now, fate gives him a second chance… But if he claims it, he risks losing everything.
Including life as he knows it.
Have you read my installment from the Rake Review series? Mad Duke March can be read any month of the year! But in March, it's extra sweet...
Whisky. Plenty of it. Keep it coming…
That’s all that Alexander Blackwood, the notorious “Mad Duke” of London, desires. Determined to waste his life away, he manages to offend even his closest friends. But when he carelessly ruins Miss Emily Fitzwilliam while in a drunken stupor, he finds himself chained to the only woman in England who refuses to fear or fawn over him.
It was the best day of her life… Until it wasn’t.
Emily Fitzwilliam loses everything when she is scandalously ruined by the most notorious rake London has ever known. And worst of all, the bounder refuses to marry her! But the wicked Duke who destroyed her life is about to discover that payback is hell.
A hasty marriage neither party wanted is about to become a passionate battle of wills as two warring hearts are destined to become one flesh… whether they like it or not.
New releases from my friends:
She was meant to find a husband—falling for her guardian was never part of the plan.
Lady Rosalind has one goal for her London Season—to secure a respectable husband who will provide her and her younger sisters with the stability their late father never did. As the new ward of the enigmatic and dangerously handsome Duke of Ravensmere, she should be focused on making an advantageous match. Instead, she finds herself drawn to the very man she cannot have.
Lord Nathaniel Blake never expected to inherit a dukedom, nor did he anticipate becoming the guardian of six young ladies thrust into society’s ruthless marriage mart. Bound by duty and honor, he knows Rosalind is off-limits. But when she steals a kiss beneath the shade of a willow tree, his carefully constructed restraint begins to unravel.
Determined to maintain propriety, Nathaniel tries to keep his distance, yet passion simmers between them. And when whispers of scandal arise—her father’s secret family, a conniving companion with designs on the duke, and rivals eager to see Rosalind ruined—she realizes that securing a match is the least of her worries.
With the stakes higher than ever, will Rosalind risk her reputation for the only man her heart desires? Or will duty and deception tear them apart before they have a chance at love?
Now is the time when I usually recommend more books in the historical romance genre—often stories written by my friends.
But today, I’m making a tiny exception.
Many of you know one of my dearest author friends, Fenna Edgewood, who has recently started writing romantic fantasy under the pen name Briar Boleyn.
Well, Briar (or Fenna!) has a dear friend, Zoë, who is battling stage 4 cancer. The diagnosis came suddenly, and Zoë’s children have put their jobs on hold to care for their mother, doing everything they can to support her.
When a friend is in need, a village comes together to lend a helping hand. As authors, we decided to unite our stories and create a fundraiser anthology. Since romantic fantasy is Fenna’s new genre, this anthology features fantasy and paranormal romance stories.
I’ve contributed a hot and funny short story about a shifter goose—yes, you read that right! 😄
If you’re in the mood for something quirky and want to help a family in need, please consider:
💖 Pre-ordering the anthology
💖 Sharing this anthology to spread the word
Every purchase and share means the world.
A little fun fact about my connection to Zoë’s family:
One of Zoë’s children, Mel, has Lupus—the same condition that Helen, the heroine of Seducing Her Wicked Rogue, battles.
Mel played a vital role in my research for the book, generously sharing their experience to help me portray Helen’s struggles with authenticity and care. Their insight made the story so much more special—and realistic.
Wishing you and your loved ones health, strength, and resilience.
Cheers,
Sadie
