daily life

monday - returned from my trip to Busan after recording 2 original songs at a studio. if the final mixes sound OK i’ll release them in early March. i also paid 13 months up-front for a new apartment in Hongdae. moving day is April 3 and yes, there will be a house party and yes, you are invited. (reply for my address)

tuesday - in the morning i released my 3rd “Lyric Explanation” YouTube video. in the afternoon i hired an A&R re (hi Joy!) and met with a documentary film director about possible investment opportunities.

between Wednesday and Friday i co-hosted a popular radio show, acted in a pillow commercial, and auditioned for a feature film. that’s 3 firsts in 3 days, a new personal record!

일상 생활

월요일 - 부산에서 노래 2개 녹음하고 오후에 서울로 돌아왔어요. 완성된 노래들이 다 잘 나오면 다음 달 초에 낼게요. 월요일 밤에는 홍대에 있는 새 아파트의 13개월 전세를 선불로 냈어요. 4월 3일 저기로 이사하고 당신을 초대할게요. 오고 싶으면 이 이메일을 대답해주세요. :)

화요일 - 아침에 제 세 번째 “가사 의미” 유튜브 비디오가 나왔어요. 마케팅, 경영 직원 (안녕 Joy!) 고용하고 투자 관련 기회를 제안하려고 다큐 감독이랑 만났어요. 

수요일에서 금요일까지 전 인기있는 라디오 쇼에서 인터뷰를 했고, 베개 광고에서 연기하고, 국제 영화를 위해 오디션 봤어요. 그런 거 다 한번도 아직 안해봐서 제 “새로운 기록”이에요. :)

projects

i’m disappointed in my performance at the recording studio last weekend, in part due to my lack of preparedness with respect to sound selection, vocal harmonies, and non-guitar instrumentation. to prevent this mistake in the future, this week i invested in some recording gear: microphones, headphones, software, and a midi keyboard. when my workspace is set up at the new apartment i’ll share a pic.

the writer i hired for my publishing company concept begins working with us next Tuesday. once she’s trained i’ll finish the Korean board game project i started a couple months ago.

사이드 프로젝트

지난주에 녹음실에서의 제 공연에 대해 실망했어요. 효과음, 화음, 딴 악기 (기타 밖에) 부분이 부족하게 준비됐거든요. 앞으로 이런 실수를 피하도록 이번 주에 여러 가지 종류의 녹음 장비를 (마이크, 헤드폰, 녹음 프로그램, 효과음 키보드) 샀어요. 집에 개인 스튜디오를 마련하면 사진을 꼭 공유할게요.

제 출판 사업 컨셉을 시작하기 위해 고용한 대필 작가와 다음주 화요일 부터 일을 시작해요. 이번에 그 분에게 일을 시키고 나서, 몇 달 전 시작했던 한국어 보드게임 프로젝트를 마무리할 거예요.
