Your night routine shapes tomorrow more than you think

Happy Thursday, !

September is almost here…

This is the perfect time to start nailing down the routine that has the most impact on your results.

I'm talking about your NIGHTTIME ROUTINE.

That's because you win or lose your morning the night before.

Oversharing alert, but here's an example of what I'm talking about…

Welcome to my glamorous life! 👑

My trash pickup is on Tuesdays. If I don't have everything ready Monday night, my Tuesday morning is a disaster, even if I get up early to make sure the trash gets to the curb.

Your body works the same way.

When you skip your nighttime routine, you're essentially starting tomorrow already behind.

And it's so much easier for your nerves to get jangled in the morning.

That's when your cortisol is naturally higher… which means that when you start your day trying to catch up, it can send your cortisol even higher, leaving you feeling more stressed.

Here's my nighttime routine:

  • Get everything I need for work ready and by the door for the morning.

  • Check that tomorrow's meals are squared away, or that I have a plan in place to make that happen.

  • Do my nighttime Qigong (Movement Meditation), ELDOA, and other self-care routines.

  • Go to bed on time.

When I follow my nighttime routine, it feels easier to fall asleep. It's like my body gets the memo that it's time to wind down, which sets me up for better sleep.

Which sets me up for a better tomorrow!

I built my Better Movements Community for individuals over 30 who want to improve functional fitness therapy to eliminate chronic pain, build strength, feel stronger, more confident, and full of energy.
