Welcome back to Argren – a kick-ass epic fantasy series about witches and rebels who take on an evil oligarchy – a story for our times.
What we’re writing
Ross and Deb have both been busy writing bees this summer. Deb is now a member of two writing groups and is deep into short stories in the world of Argren. Ross is finishing the final draft of Murtair, which will be published March 2027. And finishing the final draft of Old Magic (may be renamed) which will be published (hopefully) by the end of the year. AND he's started Spirit Song Volume 1. AND he wrote over 10,000 words during a recent writing retreat, mostly around our cyberpunk novel, tentatively titled "Flick". Cyberpunk fans, let us know - what is a trope/theme that makes or breaks this genre for you? Email Deb your answers [email protected] and you may just get a signed copy of the book of your choice!

We have been holding our "Firkins and Fantasy" book group now for almost two years and I think The Once and Future Witches may be my favorite book so far. Except the ones that we have written, or course :)
Why we love Milwaukee
We have lived all over the country, and I think folks in the midwest appreciate summer much more because, unlike Florida or Texas, it's a finite season. Festivals tend to be quirky and unhinged. Case in point - Riverwest's Center Street Daze.
