I was on the phone today with Steven Renafro, one of the founders of Masa/Ancient Crunch. They are the first truly seed oil free, pastured tallow based organic chip makers in the nation.

We were catching up about all sorts of things - RFK's confirmation, 2025 MAHA gatherings, challengers for independent food businesses, podcast appearances and other such things.

Steven and I met when he came to one of our Rogue events back in 2022.

And what stood out to him most, over two years later?

Just how good the food was.

I was quite surprised. Like me, Steven goes to some pretty amazing conferences with some pretty amazing food.

Event's like the Weston A. Price Foundation's Wise Traditions.

But of everywhere he has eaten, his meals at Rogue stood out the most.

It made me quite happy. You see, when Joel and I started Rogue we had just two ground rules.

Speakers who actually did what they said.

And food that matched our message.

Both are harder than I realized.

Real food at events is not the norm.

Corners are cut. Quality is not usually a priority.

But not at Rogue.
