Yes, I skipped last week's email. I was making the drive from my last campsite in northern Nevada into Oregon through Idaho...in a Mormon Cricket migration.

This resulted in an unspeakably traumatic, and very expensive, detour to car wash in Boise where I spent-- not exaggerating-- $50 to pressure wash the carnage off both the SUV and the hobo house.

It's still not entirely clean.

Camp is on a lovely mountain in a pine forest with zero hint of cell signal or internet, but that's good for getting back into the writing!

And that is the back story to how I skipped a newsletter but return triumphant this week with a series reveal and a pre-order link! (Cue heroic music score-- am I the only one who hears the Indiana Jones theme now?)

Welcome back to the mountains!

This lumberjack series takes us back to Moonshine Ridge and back to the original series theme of short, dirty, and over-the-top instalove pairings of rugged, growly mountain men and the curvy young ladies who steal their hearts at first sight.

The series kicks off with Rescued by the Lumberjack, featuring Adam and Phoenix's story:

For everyone who's followed the Moonshine Ridge world from the beginning, you might recognize Adam and his buddies, Jake and Levi, as the guys who came in to the new coffee shop to flirt with April in Promises on the Mountain-- right before Raine Hart walked in and ruined her for other men.

The lumberjacks series picks up in the timeline six years after the original Moonshine Ridge Mountain Men series ends with Beginnings on the Mountain.

The trio of lumberjacks that were in their early twenties when we first saw them, are now reaching their thirties. They've had time to mature, rise in the ranks of the logging company that brought them to Moonshine Ridge, and they are ready for their own stories.

The second half of the lumberjacks series features the three brothers who own the logging company...giving your author a chance to write some silver fox hotness.

The entire series features protective hero tropes, age gaps, curvy ladies, cameos and callbacks to the town of Moonshine Ridge and Slow River, and the couples and colorful side characters we met in the original stories.

(If I stay on my game and out of town, I hope to have this entire series released by the end of summer so we can jump back down to the next family of ranchers in Slow River Valley.)
