Yes, I have the cover for the new Match-Maker book!

NO! I'm not ready to share it yet.

What I will tell you is that the title is officially A Promising Beginning.

And let me tell you, those are long words that were hard to fit on the cover. But we made it work.

And not only did the title sass back, but the story is more challenging to tell than most of the other Match-Maker books have been as well.

So there's been a lot of pacing, a lot of deleting, and a higher than normal amount of Cheetos and peanut butter cups consumed. (My go-to thinking foods while writing.)

Fortunately, I have found myself back in Tahoe for a few weeks and the October weather here is phenomenal-- all sunny mid-70s by day and chilly high 30s and low 40s by night. (That's Fahrenheit, BTW. And my idea of perfect temps.) So I'm back to getting in lots of long walks in the afternoons-- good for burning off the author diet and getting some time to argue with my characters when they refuse to do what I tell them.

Sorry I don't have much more to share yet. I'm still getting started on this one and these characters are causing Raven as much grief as they are me so far!

Not true-- I know how this story ends! Poor Raven is still in the dark.

There I was, living my best life in my little camper conversion trailer and getting ready to batten the hatches and move on to a new camping spot when the BFF asked if I'd like to spend a few weeks at her Tahoe cabin.

Who says no to that?

Especially when the Tahoe cabin comes with super fancy WiFi and unlimited hot water-- which means I get to wash my hair every day. Every! Day!

Living the crazy vanlife hashtag lifestyle comes with a lot of exciting and interesting and adventure and chill...but it does not come with unlimited hot water.

Something to consider if you're one of the peeps who are itching to chuck it all for a van or RV and an endless road trip.

So here I am, taking advantage of the weather, the (hot) water, and the wifi, while I write the next book.

Life is good.
