A Freebie for June and the Usual Excuses

How did an entire week get away from me? And even more importantly, how did an entire week get away and I still don't have Eddy* and Pepper's book for you?
*The boys all have river names, it was pointed out to me that the spelling of Eddy's name should reflect the thing he's named for.
(If I didn't mention that, there'd be an onslaught of emails pointing out that I spelled his name differently. Since I mentioned it, absolutely no one will have noticed. Lol!)
But no matter how the man spells his infernal name, he's only managed to get a little bit closer to living happily ever after than he was in my last update.
I'm eager to have this book done and ready for you shortly though, and while I'm doing that, here's a free book from D. lilac to check out:
Curvy single mom, Alex Logan normally spends her Friday nights with a glass of wine and her favorite romance novel. When her best friend drags her to a small Texas honky tonk, Alex finds herself flirting with a not-so-fictional man.
Can Alex move beyond her past and allow another man into her and her daughter’s life?
Single dad, Walker Ryan works at his family ranch and spends his free time with his young daughters. His sister forces him out of his comfort zone and into a local honky tonk. Walker can't help himself when he's introduced to a curvy single mom who makes his heart skip a beat.
Will Walker convince Alex to give him a shot?
In other news, I'm sorta, kinda excited to say that I'm also working on getting the Match-Maker books re-edited, re-proofread, and re-formatted and available as paperbacks.
That is not a quick and easy project I can squeeze in on a weekend! So it's one of those things that's going on in the background.
Do you have any strong feelings about what the covers should look like? Should I keep the original ebook covers or opt for one of these "discreet" designs?
Let me know your thoughts on that, I'm eager for feedback.
Here's a pretty sunset for you from a few weeks back when I was camped in a wildlife refuge.
My current camp is also by a lake and the full moon rising over the lake the other night was jawdropping, but I wasn't prepared with the camera.
So the next night, I had the camera all ready to go and had already picked out my spot and used my fancy pants app to tell me exactly where to aim and when to catch the moonrise while it was still full.
So I hike my happy butt down to the lake at 10:15 pm with the good camera and the tripod only to discover that a thunderstorm had moved over the hills and there was zero hope of catching the moonrise.
Unfortunately, there was also zero chance of catching a lightning shot-- that remains on my amateur photographer wish list.
So maybe next month I'll snag a good moonrise photo to share.
