How did another week get past me already?!

Well, somehow, it did and here it's Thursday evening already and I just remembered that I owe you a SEPTEMBER Freebie! And that seems like just the sort of thing that's going to work out for all of us, seeing as how Vale and Sparrow are still working out their happy ending in the next Moonshine Ridge book (I almost had it ready this week...I am so close!)

So head over to Bookfunnel and grab your copy of Fiona Cullen's

Unexpected Montana Love

When her car breaks down, Evelina never expects to find love in small town Montana.

An unexpected meeting with handsome rancher, Lorenzo, makes her dream of much more than a short flirtation.

Will she risk all to remain with the man she loves instead of returning to her life in Italy?

Meanwhile...

back in the writing cave:

The office this week has looked mostly like this-- with this being a rare example of something called "daylight" outside the windows.

I've been test-driving a tiny house set up for a friend and had to report on whether their guest house was lacking anything...

Well, I mean, it'd be nice if that laptop came with a finished manuscript for the book I've been working on, but other than that, it was plenty cozy.

I'm back in the BFF's Tahoe cabin now with the temperatures dropping at night and a family of raccoons partying on the front porch at night.

There are FIVE fat little trash pandas in this screenshot from the security camera on the porch. They don't bother sneaking across the porch in stealth mode at 2 a.m. either, they make all the noise they can manage.

My personal drama is...well, it's not really getting "better," but I'm adjusting to the fact that there really isn't anything I can do about that-- leaving the BFF to suffer a few meltdowns from me while she assures me I'm doing the best I can.

But that means I'm back at work again and having fun with Vale and Sparrow's story.

Hey...while I'm babbling about characters...

More than a few of you have asked about Raven and the future of the Match-Maker series.

Y'all...Raven stopped returning my calls.

She's been asking for a vacation for the last couple of books now, and she tried very hard to pawn A Promising Beginning off on her assistant, Jessica.

I do expect to pick up the series again in the future, I have several more ideas sitting in the "books to write" folder on the hard drive, but I don't know when it will be yet. I'm definitely one of those authors who needs my characters to cooperate with me.

In the meantime, Moonshine Ridge is still my home for the next few books.

Did I forget anything?

All right then, I'll be getting back to work on the Diaz family set of the Moonshine Ridge Mountain Men series while staying up way too late and eating way too many M&Ms.
