I know; I totally skipped the email last week.

I'm back in the writing cave, trying to get all the words out that have been building up over the last few weeks while simultaneously trying to hold all the new character voices showing up at bay.

I can only write so fast and the Rogue Ops guys are first in line!

Progress is being made, but I tend to write the same way I read-- up all night, shoveling Cheetos and diet Pepsi down my throat, promising myself I'm only going to keep going for "one more chapter."

The problem with this is that when I catch up on sleep and go back to read what I wrote... it makes no sense.

So, now I'm short on sleep and have to delete a bunch of words and start over.

Who talked me into this author thing? I want a refund! Or sixteen hours of sleep... and more chips and soda.

So I don't even have a good nomad story to tell-- other than it's hot down here near El Centro, California and I'm ready to head back home, but I can't move until some very important mail catches up to me.

That means we all get to find out where I am next week together. Hopefully it's someplace with showers and about 20 degree cooler day time temperatures. (My indoor thermometer says it's 87 degrees Fahrenheit right now. That's ridiculous. It's February!)
