After hitting the ground running as I swapped out my calendar, I seem to have hit a wall today.

I did get out of bed-- if by "out" you accept long enough to pour coffee, put on sweats and crawl back in.

Somehow, it's been dark outside for hours now, and my whole day has consisted of M&M's and doomscrolling.

Some days do be like that, though.

I'd hoped to have a proper blurb for Unbreakable Trust ready for you today, but my first week of 2026 has been full of "admin" tasks-- a cute little word they taught me that translates to "all the stuff required to run this business except for the writing."

But you may have noticed that sneaky little title drop, and I also have a cover for Caspian's book:

Last week, I asked if I needed a reader group... this week, I put together a fun little survey to get more specific about that.

If you're old enough to remember Cosmo quizes, you probably have some core memories that fill you with delight whenevery someone hands you a meaningless survey to fill out-- I appreciate all the input, but there's no answer key at the end that will tell you what kind of animal you are in bed. Maybe that's the sort of thing we could work on creating in a reader group?

Time Warp Alert!

No, not that time warp... but if you are one of the several people who suddenly stopped getting email from me two months ago and were probably thinking I just rolled under a rock for the holidays; well-- you're not exactly wrong.

But I didn't stop sending emails. The email list service had some sort of time warp issue of its own and accidentally "lost" you until I realized how many people had gone missing and had them fix the problem.

The new Rogue Ops; Mountain Security Protocol series began with Unreliable Witness debuting on December 3rd, and Christmas with his Fake Fiance releasing on December 17.
