Pre-Order Your Next Grumpy Lumberjack

The last of the Murdock brothers is getting his HEA in Kept by the Lumberjack, coming to Kindle (and in KU) on September 24.
It's another Silver fox, ex-military, protective alpha bad-ass billionaire timber baron (the brothers own the timber company-- it's kind of like being lumberjacks, right?) age-gap, small town instalove with some high stakes drama and real bad guys that get their comeuppance.
And it wraps up the Moonshine Ridge Lumberjacks series.
Clinton Murdock:
Years in the service taught me to trust my gut, and my gut tells me that the woman hiding in my barn needs me to keep my mouth shut when a man comes around asking about a girlfriend who might have gotten lost on the hiking trail running near my property line.
One look, and I know I'm keeping the curvy little trespasser, but before I can give her the life she deserves, I'll have to protect her from the people who want her back.
Because it turns out, Natalie isn't running from an ex, she's in a far more dangerous situation-- and the man who came looking for her? He hasn't met his quota, and his time is running out.
It doesn't feel like it's been a whole week since I sent out the last email!
I did a couple of touristy road trips from my campsite near Joyce, WA while the trailer was unhitched. I headed to Port Townsend on the suggestion of a friend and managed to find myself in the small town on their busiest weekend of the year-- during the wooden boat festival.
That made it difficult to find parking, but I managed. I didn't really get around to doing much but walking down to the waterfront and finding ice cream-- cardamom ice cream! It was delicious! I highly recommend.
Then my Fitbit made me cry when it reported that my car was parked 13 floors up the hill. Ouch.
After a few days to recover from all that uphill walking (at least it burned off the ice cream calories, right?) I made the trip out to Neah Bay, WA and took the hike to Cape Flattery; the northwesternmost tip of the contiguous United States.
Since the weekend, I've moved on and now I'm sitting in a beach front campground somewhere along the Oregon coast.
I've been living on hot cocoa with the heat on, listening to the distant fog horn and waves crashing on the beach while the BFF back in Nevada is telling me she's still running the air conditioning.
I'll be starting the homeward leg of this journey in a few weeks-- I have things on the to-do list that look like they'll keep me back in Fallon over the winter again.
I can't believe I'm already penciling in the 2026 writing calendar too! It looks like we'll be getting to know Harlan Frost and his private security crew next... I'm not sure why these guys showed up in my brain, but I can tell you that they are being very insistent about getting books of their own.
Smoking hot, grumpy, alpha, ex-military private security crew? What's an author to do?
