I Never Could Get the Hang of Thursdays

When I first started this newsletter, I put in some serious agonizing over which day of the week was best to send it. I asked the other indie authors that I had fallen in with (bad influences, every one of 'em,) and then decided they didn't know either. (Everyone had a different answer.)

I think I skipped around in the beginning, went through phases where I only sent email when I released a new book, and went through a rough patch in life where I don't remember if I was sending emails at all?

Point being-- when I got back to work and into a routine, this email was supposed to be a Wednesday email.

But I live by the night like a vampire, so emails tended to get written late and I just started scheduling them to send out first thing (my time zone) on Thursday mornings.

These last couple of months have been brutal to writer-me, as she is getting very impatient to have full control of my word processor again (defeated sigh; that's another story.)

But writer me is just as bad as reader-me, and rebuilding-my-little-nomad-camper-me knows that if I give either one of those bitches any slack in their lines, the camper will remain in a state of unfinished chaos for another year and none of us are getting back on the road.

Which will make my Colorado friend very sad and more than a little agitated, since I've already had to push off my ETA by several months.

And that is a long-winded, purely anecdotal story for why I still don't have any relevant news this week.

Unless you read German. Because I did get two more of the match maker books into translation for that market.

The hobo house got one shelf closer to done, and then temperatures shot up to the 90s. So I've been catching up on computer projects this week inside the air conditioned house-- where it is freezing-- while I wait for Amazon to bring me some supplies I need for the next phase of the build.

I admit to looking around myself this week and feeling a slight tinge of regret for ever having started this. I just didn't expect it to take so dang long.

OMG Guys! I'm super excited for this month's freebie share because this month is Ren's book and Ren Booth is awesome. Anyway-- definitely go grab this month's freebie:

I'll come back next week and babble about some other thing I've done that isn't write a new book (but we are getting closer and closer to the part where I get to write new books! I promise!)

I wish I could add endearing messages about how awesome you are in tiny print here at the bottom of the email, because you deserve to be reminded.
