We've All Done Things We Regret

Right now, as I huddle in my warm jammies, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, with a wrist warmer over the arm with the titanium plate in it (there was a motorcycle involved. I used to be cool, I tell ya! But now that wrist gets very cold because the plate is like a heat sink under the skin;) and thinking...maybe I don't want to do winter again just yet.
Not that Fallon, Nevada winter quite compares to being snowed-in in Tahoe, but it's already cold enough to have me missing my sunny Arizona snow-bird travels of last year.
Over the years, I've noticed that I have a tendency to write books set in the same season as when I write them, but TCTS is firmly set in late August-- for reasons-- and I'm ready to write a cozy holiday romance.
Well...my writing schedule went all cattywampus, as you know, and it's not looking like I'm going to get around to a cozy holiday story this year after all.
The WIP (TCTS: The Cowboy's Temporary Solution,) is making progress now that I started over from the beginning.
Now, if the non-writing parts of my life and the outside world would kindly wait their turn-- I could finish it up and deal with the other characters who expected their stories to be told by now.
I promise-- it's coming soon.
Since I don't have much to offer this week-- tell me what you're reading! Are you all-in with the holiday romances that are starting to drop? Are you going dark? Escaping reality with some romantasy? Stepping away from happily-ever-afters altogether with a thriller or cozy mystery?
I haven't had time for reading lately, focusing too much on the writing, so let me live vicariously through you.
I don't really have anything to include in the way of images this week, so here's a pretty sweet photo I took last year-- I thought it had ranchy/cowboy-y vibes to go with the current project.
