Our friendship is too important for my feelings for her to go messing it all up now.

I've known Mercy was my soul mate since we were climbing trees and skinning knees together as kids. Problem is, my best friend in the whole world doesn't look at me the same way as I look at her.

There's not another woman on the planet that I can stand to be with, so I know I'll probably be alone forever. And that's the fate I've resigned myself to; until I need a date for a fancy charity dinner my family's ranch has donated heavily to.

Those curves in that formal gown are enough to break any mortal man, let alone one who's been in love with her more than half his life.

Is Mercy just having mercy on me? Or will she still be mine when we get back home?

I'm so excited to finally be this close to getting The Cowboy's Friendly Wake-Up Call out into the world and share Lance O'Leary's journey to happily ever after with his long time, secret crush-- his best friend and total tomboy-- Mercy Jean.

I've been learning that "secret crush" is, apparently, one of my personal favorite tropes-- it feels like the O'Leary brothers have been all about them!

Meanwhile, I've also been making a list of those tried and true tropes that I've never written: Single dad/nanny, bodyguard, runaway bride-- and wondering whose stories might fit them.

So stick around and we'll find out together!

While you wait for TCFWC to release, check out this collection of sexy mountain men!

You know how I love my mountain men! I'm not saying I downloaded ALL the books in the promo, but the promo's not over yet.

Bush is in the promo; so if you don't own a copy of my Alaskan bush pilot, mountain man book-- here's your chance to grab it for free.

It looks like I'm finally on schedule to hitch up the little hobo house camper and get back to doing the nomad thing. Maybe a couple more weeks left and then I'm planning on heading up to the Pacific Northwest for the summer to see some areas I haven't been to yet...and hopefully avoid Bigfoot encounters.

Unless I can get one of those sexy, "taken for the sexy, loving, Bigfoot's bride" sort of encounters.

But I'd rather find myself a hot, bearded, mountain man. Wish me luck.
