Hi, !
Maybe it's my idle creative brain telling me it wants to keep writing... or maybe my subconscious is just having a field day! But my head has been churning with new story ideas, and I'd love your input on what your preference is!
First off, I had a dream the other night about two werewolf brothers who were rivals (think like Stefan and Damon Salvatore... but as werewolves!). They were part of rival packs who were about to do battle. And there was a love triangle with them and a lady wolf. What do you think? Would you read a story like that? Because I am itching to write it π
Secondly, I've been getting this great idea for an adult urban fantasy series about a detective/bounty hunter for demons (think Harry Dresden or books by Kim Harrison). But, plot twist, she's secretly a vampire - a demon herself who resists the urge to feast on mortals and instead preys on the bad guys (think Dexter... but more supernatural). There would obviously be romance, I'm thinking a slow burn between her and her partner, who is constantly suspicious of her and knows she's hiding something.
Then, of course, there's my epic fantasy series, which I am still eager to write! It'll feature four main characters, all who secretly possess magic. The first one will feature a queen with hidden ice powers (loosely based on the Ice Queen fairy tale π). I'm hoping to make that one longer than my other series, like similar to Throne of Glass.
So, which of those would you be most eager to read? I hope my poor little brain can handle all these stories because I am dying to write them! π

This week's tip is on: Worldbuilding!
You always want to overdo the worldbuilding behind the scenes and underdo it when writing. So you want to outline every last detail of your world - the economy, the myths and legends, religion, culture, food, societal norms and expectations, monarchy, etc. Many people create what's called a story bible to contain all the info they need for their world. But, as I've mentioned in previous emails, you want to avoid the info-dump. Even if you've outlined every single facet of your world, down to the last speck of dirt in the town square, that doesn't mean your reader needs to know about it. Often, worldbuilding behind the scenes is what's needed to get your creative juices going - to help you envision your world and write about it with confidence. But more often than not, your reader will only see a small percentage of your worldbuilding - only what's necessary for the plot.
