Hi, friends!
I hope all's been well!
It's been a little bit since I last shared a podcast episode with you.
I had some personal stuff go on, as well as some issues with switching podcast hosts.
Personal stuff has gotten better, and as for podcast host, we'll find out if it went well later on, won't we?!
On this latest episode of the Adulthood:Revisited podcast,
the conversation is around leadership.
How can we be better leaders and better stewards,
of others, as well as of our own, respective lives.
I have Mialei Iske as a guest.
She coaches people around Servant Leadership.
Particularly, she helps her students focus on leaving behind the 'expert' role
and stepping into leadership.
Mialei shares some of her story, following the path that many do,
out of school and into the workforce where the hope and the dream
is often to be a part of that business for the next 40 years.
We know, however, that life generally doesn't flow like that these days.
Mialei shares how, on one fateful day, her career ended
as a result of differences in management of a project.
From that, she learned of some her other skills that she didn't realize were in her,
including her ability for writing,
as well as her ability to develop systems and processes for all kinds of situations.
From this experience came what she does now,
coaching business owners and team leaders around servant leadership.
She shares one principle that she believes most people should live by
so that their career or business doesn't consume them.
Mialei also shares what people can start doing today
to start being better servant leaders.
If you run a business or a team, or if you've been struggling with claiming more ownership of your own life,
I hope that you'll check out this episode of the A:R Podcast on Servant Leadership with Mialei Iske,
and you can do so by clicking the button below.
Until next time, be well!
