Hello!
The first month of the year has passed. If you made any resolutions, have you kept them so far?
I've been busy writing like a madman knowing that con season is starting soon, which slows down my usual writing progress. In my last newsletter, I mentioned I was trying to decide which project to work on next, and I decided.
I'm working on a griffon rider series. I've been a fan of griffons as long as I have of dragons, and while there is a little bit of griffon riding in my Dragon Riders of Osnen series, it ultimately about dragons.
My new series is called Talonbound, and it's going to be a trilogy. The title of book 1 is Whisper of Wings. The story centers around Iden, a stablehand who works in the griffon aeries of Stormwatch. He knows the creatures better than anyone, but he's not a noble, and therefore can never be a griffon rider. But when a griffon slated for execution chooses Iden, it changes both their fates.
Does it sound intriguing? I hope so! I'm really enjoying writing this story.
In other news, I'm currently in South Carolina for Carolina Carnage. It's my first time selling books at an event like this, and I'll be sure to update you how it went in my next newsletter.
I think that covers everything for now.
Until the next newsletter!
Below you'll find some free ebooks and the link to my fellow author friend's Kickstarter!
What I’m reading: I'm still (slowly) reading Reckoning by Michael R Miller.
What I’m watching: I watched The Running Man (new one). I liked it. I'm sure it's different from the book, but the story in the movie was definitely engaging. Apparently it was written by Stephen King, which I found interesting since he primarily does horror.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
I'm not part of any giveaways this week, but I'm offering you some first in series ebooks from my own catalogue. You might already have some of them, but if not, feel free to get one or all of them!
