Hello!

Happy New Year! I hope your holiday season was exactly what you were hoping for. It was a good time here for us. We watched a ton of Christmas movies, and on New Year's Eve, we watched the season 5 finale of Stranger Things. I have mixed feelings about the ending, but overall, I enjoyed the last season. Did you do anything fun?

Aside from getting to spend some quality time with my family, I've also gotten a lot of writing done. Since I don't have any in person events until February, I'm determined to get a lot of words down.

Speaking of that, I released the first book in my new series. Threads of Memory went live on the 6th, this past Tuesday! It feels like forever since I released a new book, and looking back, it's been almost a year since I published Wings of the Fallen. That was a prequel book for Dragon Riders of Osnen. So, yeah, it's been a while since I released something new.

I'm excited about this new series, but I'm also nervous. I'm excited because it's a brand new series, and it's something very different than what I normally write (there are no dragons). I'm curious to see how people like it. If you've grabbed a copy, let me know what you think when you finish reading it.

And for those who like to read complete series, the good news is book 2 and 3 release a week apart from book 1. Book 2 will go live on the 13, and book 3 on the 20th. So you don't have to wait long to get the entire series. And it is complete at 3 books.

Since that's finished, I've been working on a few different projects. It's been on my to-do list to write some sequels to some existing series, and I've been working on some of those while also working on something brand new. I'll reveal more details as things progress, but for now, I hope you enjoy my new Thread Witch series.

My first event for this year will be in Pendleton, South Carolina for Carolina Carnage! I heard about this event last year, and I'm looking forward to it! After that, I'll be at Con Nooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This past weekend, my washing machine drain pipe fell out of the wall and no one noticed. When my daughter was doing laundry, it was leaking all over the kitchen floor. That's inconvenient and not completely terrible, but downstairs below the laundry area is my office.

Water was everywhere. It got on my work laptop, destroyed some book stock, and a few other unimportant items. Thankfully the damage was minimal, but it could have been a lot worse. The water stopped just short of my books that are going out soon for Kickstarter fulfillment, so that was lucky!

I've been talking with my wife about moving my office upstairs, but until my daughter moves out, it's not really possible to do that just yet. I need more space, especially as my book stock takes up a decent amount of room and my office is only 70 square feet (not much with all my personal stuff).

Until the next newsletter!

Below you'll find a free ebook promotion and the link to my new release Threads of Memory!

What I’m reading: I'm still reading Reckoning by Michael R Miller. I'm enjoying it!

What I’m watching: Too many Christmas movies to list, but we definitely watched the classics like The Santa Clause.

What are you reading/watching?

As always, a huge thank you for the support!

Some threads should never be pulled.

Amara has spent her life hiding in plain sight hemming tunics, mending tears, and never letting anyone know that cloth speaks to her.

When a soldier brings her a bloodstained cloak, Amara’s needle awakens a dead captain’s voice, revealing her ability. Now a Guild enforcer from the Hemlock Circle hunts her, determined to prove she’s a rogue weaver.

But the Guild isn’t the only danger. Grieving nobles covet her power. Desperate mourners beg for miracles. And in the shadows, a cult known as the Wraithstitchers waits, eager to claim her gift and twist it into horrors beyond imagining.

Cornered by enemies, Amara must decide whether to keep hiding… or to wield the very power she fears. Because cloth remembers—and those who command its whispers can change the fate of kingdoms.
