Hello!
I hope you had a good Christmas! Ours was fun. We got to watch the grandkids open gifts, my wife cooked a lavish breakfast, and it was just an overall awesome day with the family. Let me know what you did with a quick reply!
Aside from Dragonsteel, I've spent this month working on my new series that's launching in January (in 12 days, to be exact). I finished editing the final book, got the covers from my designer, and sent the manuscripts off to my narrator.
Now it's time to show off the cover for book 1. Here it is:
And here's the blurb:
Some threads should never be pulled.
Amara has spent her life hiding in plain sight hemming tunics, mending tears, and never letting anyone know that cloth speaks to her.
When a soldier brings her a bloodstained cloak, Amara’s needle awakens a dead captain’s voice, revealing her ability. Now a Guild enforcer from the Hemlock Circle hunts her, determined to prove she’s a rogue weaver.
But the Guild isn’t the only danger. Grieving nobles covet her power. Desperate mourners beg for miracles. And in the shadows, a cult known as the Wraithstitchers waits, eager to claim her gift and twist it into horrors beyond imagining.
Cornered by enemies, Amara must decide whether to keep hiding… or to wield the very power she fears. Because cloth remembers—and those who command its whispers can change the fate of kingdoms.
What do you think? Are you excited to read it? You can preorder book 1 here.
And for those who prefer print editions, there is a paperback version available, but I'll be launching a Kickstarter in March for fancy hardcover editions. I'll provide more details on that soon!
Speaking of Kickstarter, I'll begin fulfillment soon on my last campaign. I've got everything except the boxes (slipcases), and once those arrive, we'll be full steam ahead.
Now that my Thread Witch series is finished, I've been thinking about what I want to work on next. I have several ideas, some dragon related. I love writing about dragons, but I also want to write some stuff that's completely different from my brand of dragon riders. Either way, once I decide, I'll let you know.
I hope you have fun New Year's Eve, and that the new year is the best you've had yet.
Until the next newsletter!

What I’m reading: I'm slowly working my way through Reckoning by Michael R Miller. It's always hard for me to find time to read!
What I’m watching: I watched Avatar: Fire and Ash. It was probably the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. And the story was great, progressing from what happened in the Way of Water. I definitely recommend it!
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
