Hello!
It's one week until Dragon Con in Atlanta! Are you going? If so, what are your top things to see or do?
Outside of speaking on panels and signing books in the vendor hall, I haven't fully decided what I plan to spend my time doing. I'll figure that out this weekend as I plan to make a schedule, and I'm open to suggestions.
I've started working on my next book, which is the sequel to Chosen. This one is titled Acolyte. The first chapter is complete, and I'm trying to get a few more written this week before Dragon Con starts.
I also finished the fulfillment of my most recent Kickstarter, and now I'm preparing for the next campaign which launches on September 3. If you missed the last campaign for the deluxe edition omnibus of books 1-3 of my Osnen series, it will be available during this campaign.
I got to see my middle daughter and youngest granddaughter this past week as well. They came to visit for a week. We'll see them again in October when we go to The Southern Festival of Books in Nashville.
Otherwise, I don't have much new to report, so this one will be short!
I have my final panel schedule for Dragon Con, as well as signing times that I'll be at the vendor booth.
Here's my panel schedule:
Title: The Adventure Begins
Description: New writers always ask "Where do you get your ideas?" Or "How do I get started writing a book or story?" The years of experience racked up by our panel discussion will answer some of these questions--and more.

Time: Sunday at 10:00 am

Title: Writing YA Novels that Readers will Love

What I’m reading: I'm still making progress on The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb, but I read a short story titled Night of the Black Dragon by Melanie Ansley. It's a prequel to her series Riders of Jade and Fire. I've also started her first book in that series, which is Dragon Class. I don't typically read 2 books at once, but these are different enough I can keep the stories apart in my head.
What I’m watching: I finished the final episode of Evil, and all I can say is wow! It's easily one of my favorite shows, and I'm sad it's over.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
