Hello!
The heat of summer has arrived and I love it! I know, I know. I'm odd for enjoying the heat.
Anyway! I was at Fanboy Expo last weekend and it was a great time. My sales were up 25% over last year, and I got to hang out with a few of my author friends. We even had a few celebrities walk past the booth, including Michael Rooker, Giancarlo Esposito, Gina Carano, and Shannon Elizabeth. Teenage me squealed at the last one, ha!
I've also got some great news on the writing front. I finished writing Chosen! And now that it's done, I can confidently say the series will be a trilogy (at minimum). I said this in my last newsletter, but I think this is officially the best book I've written.
It will be a little while before this book is released, though. I'd like to have book 2 written first, that way there isn't a long delay between them. With that said, I do have the cover, and here it is:
How cool is that? It was done by the amazing Christian Bentulan!
In other news, I've been asked about doing a line of custom hand-made pens for based on my books. I got a prototype, and it's top notch! It's dragon themed, and I wanted to know if you'd be interested in purchasing something like this:
That's a real tiger's eye stone, too! I'm trying to gauge interest, so if you wouldn't mind replying with a quick "yes" or "no," that would be extremely helpful.
Other than that, I'm preparing for Gen Con in Indianapolis at the end of this month/beginning of next month. At the time of last year's event, it was my best event both in number of books sold and dollars made. I'm happy to be going again this year, and I think I'm going to shatter another record.
After that, it's DragonCon! I have a feeling that will take the crown as my top event. If you're attending, I hope you'll swing by the vendor hall at AmericasMart to see me and the other authors.

What I’m reading: I'm working my way through The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb. It's good stuff!
What I’m watching: I've only been watching the weekly episodes of Evil as I've been busy writing, but they're so good!
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!

My friend and fellow author Angel Haze just released a new book!
Killien will stop at nothing until he finds his sister, Fate. Her magic is both feared and hunted by mages, soldiers, assassins and the new king alike. His sister has a power like no other—chaotic and destructive, it makes her a danger to everyone around her. If she were to fall into the wrong hands—such as the tyrannical mage Killien believes may have kidnapped her—Fate could be turned into a devastating weapon.
