Hello!
It's the day after Independence Day here in the USA. If you celebrated, I hope you had fun! I think the standard celebration is usually grilling out and shooting off fireworks. Do you have different traditions for the holiday? If so, I'd love to hear about them!
I'm busy working on my next book, and I think this is officially going to be the best book I've written. Currently, that title is held by The Price of Honor, an Asian inspired dragon rider story set in my Dragon Riders of Osnen universe. If you haven't read it yet, now is the perfect time because the price just dropped on the book from $3.99 to $0.99!
Anyway, the writing on Chosen (my new book) is going really well. I originally was thinking it would be a trilogy, as but the story is progressing, I think it may end up a duology instead. I've been talking my wife's ears off about it, and she gave me some feedback that helped me get past something I hadn't quite figured out yet, so that was great.
If the momentum continues, I think the book will be complete by the end of this month. We'll see how it goes!
Next weekend I'll be at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, TN. If you're in the area, come check it out! There are tons of vendors, celebrity guests, and more! And make sure to stop by and see me and my author friends. We'll be on the main floor!
Below you'll find a free ebook box set from a friend of mine!
What I’m reading: I'm currently reading The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb. I actually met Michael at a writer's conference in Las Vegas a little over 2 years ago and while talking, we realized we only live 20 minutes from each other. His Shadow Knights series has had tremendous success, and although I'm only a few chapters in, I can see why. His writing is easy and the story starts off with action.
What I’m watching: I'm watching new episodes of Evil weekly as they premiere on Paramount+. Some people dislike having to wait for new episodes of a show, but I like it. The whole binge watching has gotten old for me, to be honest.
I also watched Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It was a good conclusion to the 4 movie arc.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
