Hello!

I'm in Huntsville, Alabama today for the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo. This is a great event for me, and I'm sharing a booth with 4 other authors who write books very different from mine.

For this newsletter, I'm going to do something a little different. I'd like to tell you about these authors and their books. If they aren't your typical reads, no worries! But I like supporting my author friends, and I'm sure they would appreciate it if you checked out their books.

So, let's start with pdmac. pdmac's real name is Doug McKittrick, but he writes under a pen name because he says no one could ever pronounce his last name correctly. pdmac has been in all 4 of the short story anthologies I've organized, and he studied in college under someone studied under Tolkien. If you read his books, you'll definitely see the inspiration shine through in the naming of his characters and worlds that are in the fantasy genre. He's written fantasy, sci-fi, dystopian, steampunk, time-travel romance... he's done many different genres.

Here's the link to pdmac's Amazon Author page.

Next up is Ben Meeks. Ben has a complete trilogy out about a wereotter that hunts demons in north Georgia. Did that get your attention? It always does at conventions! Ben recently launched his first book in the LitRPG genre, and he's working on putting out a weird western that includes dragons!

Here's the link to Ben's Amazon Author page.

Bob McGough also writes on the weird side of things. His series is about a redneck wizard with a crippling meth addiction. The drugs fuel his magic, and he must unravel supernatural myseries.

Here the link to Bob's Amazon Author page.

And last but not least is Scott Blasingame. Scott has a couple series, but his main one is his Warrior-Son trilogy. The books are about 12-inch tall people who do martial arts. Wild, right?

Here's the link to Scott's Amazon Author page.

So, what have I been up to? I'm finishing up edits on the last few stories in the Dragon Riders of Mirstone anthology. The submissions came in back to back, so my time has been focused on that and working on my next Kickstarter campaign.

I've also been asked many times if my Dragon Riders of Osnen series will get a special edition. The answer: Yes! In fact, the first 3 books are getting a special edition hardcover omnibus. The campaign is on prelaunch, and you can follow it by clicking here or the image below if you're interested in it.

The special edition will have printed edges, a decorative interior border, the slick case wrap design you see in the image above, chapter headers, and a brand new dust jacket design that will have foil!

I received a prototype copy and it looks epic! The campaign will be launching in May, and I hope you're as excited about it as I am!

That's all for this newsletter, but I'll be back with free book promos in the next one!

What I’m reading: I'm working my way through Child of Fire by Austin Colton.

What I’m watching: Sadly, I haven't had much free time to watch anything, but I'll be working my way through the next episodes of Shogun soon.

What are you reading/watching?

As always, a huge thank you for the support!

Richard
