Hello!
I hope this email finds you well. For those who don't know, I live in Georgia and we recently had a hurricane sweep up the state. Thankfully, it turned east from where I live, so we only got rain and some slight wind, but others I know weren't so lucky. I hope you were not affected by the storm, and if you were, my thoughts are with you.
I was at Alabama Comic Con last weekend, and despite the attendance being low (for several reasons), it was a fun event! I got to meet Shannyn Sossamon. She played opposite Heath Ledger in A Knight's Tale, which is one of my favorite movies. She was so nice. I got a photo with her, and I gave her a signed deluxe edition of one of my books. She loved it and said her kids would, too!
I also got to catch up with my friend Kristin McGuire (a popular anime voice actor from Funimation). I met her years ago at a convention in Columbus, GA and we've kept in contact since. This was the first event we've been at together in a while, so it was nice seeing her in person again. She even bought a book!
I finished writing Acolyte this week, book 2 in my new series. In case you missed my last newsletter, the first book has an official release date: October 15! I'll put the preorder details below, and I hope you'll check it out!
Tomorrow I'll be at a local-ish event that is all about books: Next Chapter Con There are currently almost 40 authors attending across all genres, so if you live in or near Dalton, Georgia, come check it out. Attendance is free!
Below you'll find a free ebook promo and the preorder details of my newest book.
What I’m reading: I'm almost finished with The Last Shadow Knight by Michael Webb. I'm enjoying it!
What I’m watching: I watched Inside Out 2 on Disney+. I like the first one, and this one was also great.
What are you reading/watching?
As always, a huge thank you for the support!
Richard
