Hello ,
How's April treating you? READY FOR SUMMER READING?
April: The month of new projects
So I have 'stick with one project' issues, which some of you may have picked up on. This month, I decided I would go crazy and start whatever projects I wanted to, in the hopes of getting that energy out, and focusing on Undercity Heroes in May.
It's gone well.
And by well, I mean it's been very, very bad, and I now have 4 new projects I want to work on simultaneously. I've put down my two favorite below, If you're interested in hearing more, let me know, maybe it will encourage me not to flit to a new idea in two days.
Angel Blessed:
Twelve years ago the angels started falling from the sky.
Each time they did, a small subset of humanity would gain supernatural powers.
The "Blessed" are a source of contention. Some people think that by killing them, we can restore the power to the angels and stop them falling.
In the middle of the most prestigious Hunter school...
... Grace has just been Blessed.
Familiar Magic
You get one chance to summon a familiar. A conduit for your sorcerer abilities and meant to be your companion for life.
Most people get a cat or a raven...
...I got a werewolf
I'm actually about 2 books into the Angel Blessed (they're novellas, so about 100 pages per book), and it's pretty fun. I was anticipating 6 books in the Grace Arc and then switching characters to focus on her friend. While Grace is very competent, forward thinking and snarky, her friend Kathryn is... not. Kinda reminds me of Anna and Tia.
4 projects so far and we're only two thirds of the way through the month. It's back to Undercity Heroes next month, with the release of 3.5 at the end of May, so let's hope it's all calmed down by then.
Until next month - the start of a couple of reading challenges (I'm psyched).
