Hello ,
Happy New Year to you! Got your resolutions in order yet?
I tend to slow down in January. It's hot here in Australia, so to not risk melting as I try and learn to run 5kms (a New Year resolution of mine for about five years now), I tend to delay starting things until February. It gives me a nice month of sitting under the air-con, pretending I will be a better person later. (Of course, things are no better in Feb, and then I delay things until March...)
Last month you heard about a pile of things I intend to change, and the remains of them will be rolling out this month. I spoke about how I'll be taking a break from Undercity Heroes for a bit, but not about what I'm doing instead.
Well, I'm writing books.
Lots of books.
(Actually, I'm focusing on finishing a couple that have been sitting at 75% for longer than they should have. If it looks like I'm producing a lot this year, it's because I am just adding the final touches to things that should have been completed a while ago.)
The first project I intend to send out into the world is a romantasy novella set about a princess who is beholden to the Goddess of assassins and thieves and a dragon king who she wants to kill.
Yeah, in case the romantasy part didn't clue you in, this will involve enemies to lovers. However, if you like your enemies to be making attempts on each other's lives, and for that not to change until....
... Well I'm not revealing that yet. But let me just say it's a WHILE.
If you're interested in this, then stay tuned, cause I'll talk more about this project later.
Until next time!
- Ren Author who will not stray from under the air con.
PS: If romantasy doesn't interest you, then still stay tuned. I hope to send book 4.5 of Undercity Heroes out in the next email.
PPS: My friend Mary has her book free TODAY. Click on the pic below to pick up a free copy of Cascade of Sparks.

Otherwise, check these books out!
It would be a lot easier to break into the assassination game if her targets stayed dead.

Montpier’s newest mortician has dug up more than she can handle. At least, that’s what the ghosts say.
