Hello ,
I did not think about how ominous this would sound when I began this NL set. Standard "It sounded like a good idea at the time" that came back to bite me in the butt.
Why? Because for the... Third time (I think) I have covid. Just in time to screw up Christmas. It's okay, not too bad, but just in time to be annoying.
However, onto the important stuff.
Over the last couple of weeks I have mentioned some things I am changing in 2024. My books are now out of KU (I am already reconsidering this choice, but sticking with it for 6 months). I have a (pretend) plan to send newsletters through mailerlite, and by the new year I'll have a new email address.
However, the final thing I'm changing in the new year is probably the biggest of them all.
Guys, I'm taking a break from Undercity Heroes for a bit.
NOT FOR LONG, don't worry. I still have drafts written up to book 10, so this series isn't going away, but I likely won't be releasing the next book until late 2024 or early 2025. Hopefully after that I'll be releasing the remains a bit more regularly which means the horrible cliffhangers that are coming, won't seem so bad.
But I will be spending most of 2024 releasing some new projects that I think you'll like. Some in Fantasy, some in Urban fantasy, one that might fit in paranormal. If it has magic, I will write it!
In saying that, I'll be releasing a short 4.5 story in Jan, that will be free. Like the 1.5 short story, it's about how Tia visited Upper City and meeting up with Daniel and Sean there. This is actually one of my favorite shorts from the series (my actual favorite short is titled "The Date". Read into that what you will), because it's the first time Tia and Sean meet.
Sean and Tia need more screen time together. There's a chaotic energy that the two of them just build on that's just...
ANYWAY, The 4.5 short story will be coming to you in January. It will be absolutely free, so consider it a late Christmas Present.
