Well, it's 2023 and unsurprisingly not much has changed. I'm far behind on my reading challenge, behind my writing goals (I WILL CATCH UP) and already hoping that 2024 will be better.
What are your reading goals? I'm aiming for 50 books this year. If you have any short recommendations for me (cheating? No, that's not cheating. It's a creative interpretation of the rules!) I'd appreciate it.
Updates from the undercity:
Book 3 preorder is out: It will be live on the 14th of March. A lot of thought was put into this date (for once). And while I would LIKE to say, that the date was picked because it's exactly 5 months after the launch of Origins, the real reason for the date is much simpler:
3.14. The 14th of march is Pi Day.
And being the nerdy pie lover that I am, I could not help myself. So to celebrate all things Pie (blueberry is the best. I will fight you on this), I'm releasing a book for you to read with your slice.
Book 1 cover change: I'm changing the cover of book 1 tomorrow. I've had the new one for a couple of weeks, but wanted to give anyone who wanted the old cover, the chance to get it before the change. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE.
Otherwise, the new cover is made to look more like the second book, so it has more of a "series" feel to it. Let me know what you think!
Other stuff:
2023 changes: As I mentioned a couple of times last year, to make things easier, this newsletter is going out on the first and third Tues/Wed of the month. Last year, the 5th and 20th kept creeping up on me. This way should be a little more regular.
Social media: In the next couple of weeks I'm hoping to poke around TikTok, so I'd love it if you could point me toward fantastic people to follow (including yourself). I'm looking forward to seeing what's out there, and absolutely dreading the many hours I'm going to spend looking through new book videos. Goodbye weekends!
