Back in the 70s and 80s at 10:00 pm, there was a PSA for all the parents out there saying it's 10 o'clock do you know where your kids are? This is funny now because that just shows how much we Gen Xers were not thought about much. We were the last of the truly feral kids.
We grew up with our friends and we took our life lessons with us as we went through our life. Now life has changed. If our kids are so much at the park and by themselves some busybody is calling CPS on us. So we are on the alert more often. We are worrying about everything around us, so it isn't a surprise that we don't know what our soul is about these days. We can't pay attention to it. Life is coming at us from all angles and then we turn to our cell phones for a little solace.
Yet we as men eventually, start looking for our soul. What makes us complete? What is our calling? What gets us out of bed in the morning? That is a huge question yet it is important for men to not burn out. Men need to know our purpose so we can bring the light of life to our families.
