Replace Rumination with Reframing

Tired of ruminating over conversations involving the kids or ex?

Dear Stepmom Sister,

I understand that being a stepmom comes with its unique set of challenges, and I want to share some insights that will resonate with you.

Many stepmoms, like yourself, often find themselves caught in the web of people-pleasing and constant rumination, giving away valuable pieces of their well-being. It's a tough spot to be in, and I've been there too.

That's why I want to introduce you to the powerful tool of reframing. It's not just about changing your perspective; it's about reclaiming your head and heart. The essence lies in stopping the chase for validation from others and, instead, embracing peace within.

Here are a few key thoughts to consider:

Remember the saying, "Stop giving access to your well-being to people who aren't truly there for you." It's a powerful reminder that you have the choice to redirect your energy towards those who genuinely appreciate and reciprocate your efforts.

Honestly, sometimes it's with your spouse who does love and care for you but may not be "able" to work through things like you do given their conflict and communication toolbox and learned behaviors from their family of origin. Truth is, you may believe the lie "if my husband loved me, he wouldn't....."

It's easy to turn feelings into facts to protect the heart but often it's more of a matter of seeing and addressing things differently.

Reframing helps you come back to center more quickly. Preserves your marriage and actually serves to draw you closer because the walls come down while boundaries are set and enforced. In love.

If you're interested in exploring the art of reframing further, I'd love to share some resources and strategies with you. Let's work together to help you reclaim your peace and create a space where your well-being is cherished.

Set up a call to learn more or grab your seat today before they are filled! Next small groups start week of January 23rd. (use coupon code: stepmomsister at checkout).
